Customers of the Unique Hospitality Management pubs are helping raise money this Christmas for food and equipment for abandoned dogs. From Monday, 27 November to New Year’s Eve customers at 185 Watling St Pub & Kitchen, The Anchor, Mill Street Pub & Kitchen, The Knife & Cleaver, The Fox Inn, The Wheatsheaf Pub & Grill and the Golden Ball will receive a £15 gift voucher to use towards a meal in January or February at the pub and for every voucher redeemed a £5 donation is being made to the Dogs Trust.
Dogs Trust is the UK’s largest dog welfare charity and cares for over 175,000 dogs each year through its network of rehoming centres. There are currently around 900 dogs in need of rehoming that the charity supports. Andrew Coath from Unique Hospitality Management says: “Dogs Trust’s slogan is ‘A Dog is for Life, Not Just for Christmas™’ and we wanted to do something to help support the great work of the charity at this key time of year for dogs being abandoned.”
He adds: “Our pubs are all dog friendly with free treats and water bowls on offer and we love seeing dogs relaxing in the bar with their owners. We always have a very warm welcome at the pub for dog owners.”

The £15 gift vouchers can be used towards meals in January and February and customers are in for a treat with the pub’s menu offering a range of delicious handcrafted dishes which celebrate the best of British produce. Gift vouchers can also be used towards food at the pub’s exciting weekly events including ‘Chicken Tuesdays’ and Wednesday ‘Steak Night’.
Andrew adds: “Our gift vouchers mean customers can treat themselves to a fantastic meal in the New Year with a great saving, while at the same time helping raise money for such a valuable cause. We hope to raise lots of money for Dog’s Trust with this exciting initiative.”
